Wild things

When we cook, many of us rely on supermarket vegetables shipped from the other side of the world. And yet extraordinary wild plants, right here in the UK, are being killed with expensive, toxic chemicals – all because we don’t know how to use them.

Forager supplies these incredible wild plants to restaurants and individuals. These locally-sourced, low-impact ingredients aren’t just sustainable – they’re nourishing and delicious. It’s partly thanks to Forager that the perennial herb meadowsweet is now popular in specialist cocktails, and that the sharp, sour taste of sea buckthorn is used in everything from tasting menus to cake toppings.

Forager supplies Michelin-starred restaurants including The Ledbury, Corrigan’s and Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner. But the team aims to inspire chefs at all levels – including those at home.
